Overview

The requirements for starting a clan in Fallen Earth are 10,000 chips and 10 members. Once a clan has been founded its membership can then number anywhere from 1 to 250. There can only be one Clan Leader at a time, but the Leader can delegate responsibilities and permissions to others so they can have most of the power the Leader does. Clans start with three basic ranks but the Clan Leader can create up to ten ranks – each one having its own permissions list. These permissions lists cover such things as who can invite/remove, promote/demote, use the clan vault, accept Clan War challenges, etc.

Clan Wars

Clans can challenge other Clans to do battle in PvP zones. The two Clan Leaders agree on a point goal, length of combat, start time, handicap for clans of different power levels, and preferred location. Points in a Clan War are earned by each clan for killing the opposing team. The first clan to reach the point goal wins. Bounties may be placed on the opposing clans by the parties involved. Additional rewards are being worked on to encourage participation.

Clan Leveling

The current plan is for clans to be able to earn Clan APs in a number of ways – missions such as raids on enemy factions or turning in a huge number of crafted items. Clan APs may be spent on special abilities such as discounts from all merchants, increasing the favor of the faction the clan is aligned with (although a clan doesn’t need to align with a specific faction, they’ll get more abilities if they are), or a small speed boost. None of these Clan abilities will be combat-related.
