The unit of currency in
Fallen Earth is the poker chip. The banks and auction houses fall
under the operation of the Bankers Guild of the Grand Canyon. Banks
contain storage lockers which players can use to store items and will have different vaults in each sector available for use. So while this will mean making trips back and forth to access the various vaults, it more importantly means that characters will have steadily increasing storage space available to them as they progress upwards in the game. Auction houses are found in the barter towns. There will be a
centralized market system. Here players may put items up for sale,
and both players and NPC merchants can buy them. NPC merchants will
buy their stock from here and resell them to players. Some merchants
may run out of goods due to shortages and prices will fluctuate if
the market is flooded with an item. Other factors may affect market
pricing such as distance to the nearest barter town and availability
of local goods. There will be a number of built in controls to limit
abuse and keep the market mostly stable. |
